Below are some photos from the evening reception in The Ridings Barn at Theobalds Park in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire (which, unfortunately, is no longer trading). Congratualtions to Caroline and Kevin! May we wish you a very happy life together.
The Venue: The Ridings Barn at Theobalds Park in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire is a lovely self-contained unit located away from the main house. As well as the main function room with ceiling beams and it's own bar, it has it's own pretty courtyard which is surrounded by hotel rooms available for you and your guests. Caroline and Kevin had around 120 guests at their reception.
What Caroline and Kevin wanted: When Caroline and Kevin first contacted us around 6 months before their wedding looking for a DJ to play varied party music, plus some Irish music and Oasis tracks, we arranged to meet with them at The Ridings Barn one evening.
We sat down and had a long chat with them about their requirements. They booked with us shortly after that and over the coming weeks and months we refined their requirements.
They opted to book a DJ for the evening reception of their wedding, but with the equipment being set up before they arrived for the wedding breakfast. They decided that they would like to include a 3m starlit backdrop with a mirror ball, and a few lights shining up in to the ceiling beams in blue to match their chair cover sashes. They gave us a good indication of the styles and eras of music they would like, some specific requests, and several dedications they would like made during the evening, and the photos show that looked perfect in the surroundings and that it all went down very well with both them and their guests.
The First Dance: Being big Oasis fans, Caroline and Kevin chose Oasis - Guess God Thinks I'm Abel as their first dance as husband and wife.
