Dodford Manor, Northamptonshire

Dodford Manor is a lovely & well thought out converted barn venue located only a few minutes away from J15 of the M1 in Dodford, Northamptonshire, and we are proud to have been approved as one of their Recommended Suppliers.

If you book your wedding there, you will have exclusive use of the complex comprising beautifully restored 17th century stone and contemporary oak barns and courtyard.

The newer parts have been very sympathetically designed and so are very much in keeping with the older parts.

Dodford Manor is Licensed for Civil Ceremonies, and have a separate barn for your reception.

One side of the reception barn is almost entirely made of glass, and the other side has a very large window overlooking the courtyard area up at the far end.

The main room is where the banqueting tables are laid out and this is down a couple of steps and at a right-angle to the bar area, making an 'L-shape' reception venue.

The bar area is furnished with very comfortable looking sofas and chairs and also gives access to the courtyard. It is the ideal area for guests in the evening who want a quieter area to sit.

At the far end of the main area (ie the opposite end to the steps up to the bar) there is a recessed area which lends itself perfectly as an area for DJs or bands to set up and an area for dancing. Although you could add a decorative dance floor if you wish (eg a starlit floor) as part of your décor, there is no need for you to have one as there is a wooden floor throughout and the recessed area creates a clearly defined area for dancing which is neither too big or too small.

The venue is fitted with a sound limiter. However, it is set to a realistic level & the mic is located in a sensible position.

Access for suppliers is a dream, with a door located on the side of the recessed area, meaning that suppliers can pull right up to the door and unload straight in to the room.

One of the things that impressed us the most about this venue is the attention to smallest of little details: everything has been so carefully thought out to give the best-possible experience to everyone involved. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and our clients have told us that they are really on the ball responding to their enquiries and assisting them in putting together their ideal wedding day.
