Star cloths (or starcloths) are small twinkling lights on a black backdrop - rather like stars in the night sky: hence the name 'Starcloth'.
Most commonly, they are used behind the band or DJ as a backdrop, but they can be used in multiples to cover an entire wall, or even to create a partition (eg if the room is too big for the number of guests attending, we could fit several star cloths part way down the room, from one side to the other, and thereby, in effect, making the room smaller.)
A starcloth can transform an ugly or fussy wall or alcove, and create a little bit of magic at a very affordable price. They are particularly helpful in creating the right atmosphere for the 'party' element of your big day.
The starcloths we use have white LEDs randomly arranged and fitted in to a black cloth, which is then mounted on to a metal framework. Via the controller, the lights may be set to run through a number of random chase patterns. However, we generally feel that they are at their best when set either to static / lightly twinkling, and so will usually use them in this mode unless requested.
